Smart Manufacturing Lab

The Smart Manufacturing Lab is focused on research, teaching, training and industry outreach in the areas of Agile Manufacturing, Intelligent Product Design, Simulation, and Predictive Modeling of Additive/Hybrid Manufacturing and Smart Factory Digitalization through Computer Vision, IIoT, VR/AR/MR and Data Analytics.  The Lab is supported through collaborative partnerships with a variety of industries and federal agencies sponsorships.

About

The Digital Product Design and Smart Manufacturing Lab works in all aspects of Industry 4.0 based solutions for Smart Manufacturing Digitalization, including intelligent design of products, predictive modeling and simulation of processes and factory operations (digital twin), acquisition and smart analysis of factory data through Computer Vision, IIOT, AR/VR/MR methods, and integration of factory digital data with supply chains for agile and cost effective manufacturing. Prof. Anand has successfully obtained funded grants and contracts from various industries, federal, city and state agencies to the tune of over 15 million dollars in these research areas.
