About

The VAM Lab explores and expands how people engage with virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality through real-time visualization, virtual characters, video games, and simulated scenarios. The lab brings designers, artists, engineers, computer and social scientists to study and develop immersive media. Our team investigates the interactive VAM approaches to design, create, evaluate, and experience everything from building construction, job training, driving safety, and entertainment.

The research projects include using VAM for building empathy and cognitive embodiment, architecture, engineering and construction visualization, police training, driving simulation, healthcare training, digital twin, biometric data collection, eye-tracking, hand-tracking, crowd behavior, and 3D content creation.
