About

The focus of the Applied Autonomy (AA) Lab is new drone technology and its various industry applications. The AA Lab works with many partners, including emergency management, transportation, aerospace engineering, and many others. The AA Lab is fortunate to be expanding into the HighBay, where new drone technology is tested by the Lab and its industry partners. Currently, the lab works with first responders and other emergency management organizations, including the Fire Science & Emergency Management department, to provide them with new technology and training. The AA Lab is also working closely with many other Digital Futures labs and the Department of Transportation on a long-term project related to automated driving systems.
